13 April 2013 13:50 | I stayed in: Hale Lanikeha “Legendary Part of Heaven House”
Wonderful location, near North Shore and away from the business of Waikiki. Cousin Otilani was very helpful when our flight was delayed. (Even assisting our friends who showed up for dinner, before we arrived!) Couldn't get a unit closer to the water, and the little beach had only a few people fishing each day. When renting this house (which is actually two units connected) you have basically a private deck and hottub. Rental equipment was very nice to have, we especially enjoyed the kayak. Kitchen was well stocked, we had plently of dishware for the 6 of us, and our dinner guests. Easlily accomidates three couples. Disappointed that we were only able to stay a few days on this side of the island.

Thank you for making our vacation perfect! We will return soon and will definitely be staying here again!

06 April 2013 18:03 | I stayed in: Kamai “Garden View”
We really enjoyed our stay in the garden view. It was so quiet and relaxing. Our short walk to the beach was wonderful as well. My family really enjoyed the quiet beach full of tide pools. Over all it was a wonderful stay. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I hope to return sometime soon!

I would recommend this place anytime. We had a wonderful trip and our condo was great! You could throw a rock into the ocean from our bedroom, we slept with the windows open and the sound of the waves put us to sleep. Great views and the place was clean. We'll be back.

01 April 2013 19:03 | I stayed in: Pukana La “Sunrise”
Mahalo to Dave, Otilani, Jeff and staff for ensuring a five star vacation at Pukana La Sunrise. What's there not to like? We woke up every morning to the sights and sounds of the ocean, we went hiking on nearby trails, and we had a hot tub one night in the pouring rain. It was paradise. The days were sunny and full of promise, and we always looked forward to returning to our little beach house. We were fortunate to be there when the coconuts on the trees were being picked, so we had fresh coconut and coconut water. We hope to return again real soon.

18 March 2013 17:59 | I stayed in: Hale Ali'i “House of the Chief”
A surprise 50th birthday for my wife. All the family and friends came as well. We occupied several of the condo and LOVED our whole experience from the unit to the people who made this possible. We had issues with the fridge, they were on it immediately even though it was Sunday. They gave us another condo to use while the fridge was being fixed. They were very accommodating and helpful in all aspects of our stay. We loved our week with them so much we are returning for my 50th birthday in April. "House of Chief" thank you for the sweet memories, can't wait to make more...
Our first ever hot weather vacation, and we lucked out!! Our house on the beach was everything we dreamed of, and more!! We had our parents staying with us, the home came with everything we could anticipate needing!! Thank you to all of you!! Our house was clean, the views were fantastic, and your help with seeing the best of Oahu was greatly appreciated!! We will be back!!!

05 March 2013 11:14 | I stayed in: Nani Kai Hale “Beautiful Beach House”
We left last night after a nine night stay and wish we were still there

The house was wonderful. The picture at the top of this screen is the the view from the eating area. There is an ocean view from almost every room in the house. Tons of sliding glass doors so we could feel the cool ocean breeze and hear the surf. It was clean, beautifully decorated and cousins Dave and Oti and quick fixer guy Jeff were very helpful and accommodating. Would stay there again in a heartbeat

We loved staying in your apartment and if we ever visit Hawaii again, we will definitely book it again! We had everything that we needed to relax and enjoy our holidays.
And Otilani, thank you once again for your help with that horrible "coconut-accident"!

We were amazed by the view, the wind and waves spectacular! We were concerned about the shared hot tub but noticed the daily care by your staff and it was *** to watch the sunrise from the tub. It was a special time for us. The north shore definately has huge waves! We enjoyed watching surfers , Waimea Valley, golf at Turtle bay. It was one of the most unusual places we have ever stayed because of the surf splashing the deck and the waves churning like a freight train on the horizon.

10 January 2013 14:45 | I stayed in: Hale Mauka-Makai “Mountain-Ocean House”
Aloha! We just experienced a once in a lifetime holiday vacation on the Northshore with 14 blended family members! It was fantastic! My husband and I have 5 children between the two of us. We took them, their partners, and our 3 grandchildren for a week at the Mountain Ocean House. It was so wonderful to have two separate living areas and 5 bedrooms so each couple could have their own space. It was just as I had imagined it would be and better: The beach as our front yard for us to walk on and for our grandchildren to play, sunrises from every window in the house almost and if not then the majestic mountains, great outdoor space, hot tubs, and an extremely responsive management for our every question. Cousin Otilina and Cousin Jeff were wonderful and they felt like part of the family by the time we left. Be sure and go hunting for crabs with flashlights with the whole family at night, before you leave! Thank you for the magical memories. Maholo. The Frost/Norlin Clan

17 November 2012 20:17 | I stayed in: Koolani Lanai “Tranquil Balcony House”
We stayed in this beautiful place for a week and it was heaven. The view is *** and the house has everything you need. The staff is very helpful and we found everything just as it was described online when we booked it. This was a once in a lifetime trip for me and my husband, sister and brother-in-law and staying here made it even more so. Wonderful trip!!
My husband and I stayed here from 10/10/12 to 10/17/12. We loved getting up every morning and having coffee sitting by the water. The view is spectacular and sunrise is gorgeous and different every day. The space was just the right size for 2. It was quiet and private. It's far enough from the city to make it feel like you're in another world. The mac nut pancakes at Papa Ole's were out of this world. The best we've had on 4of the islands. We ordered from Dominoes one night and they were so great about having a difficult time finding our cottage. Dinner at the Crouching Lion was good and the patio and it's view were so calming and peaceful. I highly recommend Ehukai Hale. The only two things I recommend the owners fix is to have common condiments in the cottage--there's not even any salt and pepper. The other problem we had was getting a clear picture on some of the channels of the TV. It seemed to be a cable problem. We certainly didn't go to Hawaii to watch the TV but because of the Presidential debates and wanting to keep up a bit with the race, we did watch some TV. And of course, we had to watch Hawaii 5-0 while we in Hawaii.

30 August 2012 02:15 | I stayed in:
A group of 8 of us rented the 5-bedroom, 2-story house at this property from 8/11/2012 - 8/18/2012 for 5 days of vacation and 2 days for a wedding at Turtle Bay. I must say for my first trip to Hawaii, this group of rental homes is exactly where you want to stay if you want to be detached from any city living. The windward coast is beautiful and mainly un-touched by development. There is a local grocery store 1/8 mile away that has most of what you need and a higher end one about 5 miles to the north. The staff was extremely accomidating and most of all, knew how to just let you be without any interuption (even though they are on-site 6-8 hours of the day). Two things you need to know about this place before you book are 1) the beach is sandy, but 10 feet into the water it becomes rocky so bring wet-socks. 2) when we stayed there, the house (only this house) did not have A/C installed anywhere. Our party was OK with this being from South Florida but it may be something you should ask the staff before-hand when booking. Our neighbors which were with our party did have A/C. The location is really the best draw to this rental. Pipeline and the beginning of the Northshore -heading south- is 20 min away. Turtle Bay is 15 minutes away. The fish taco place within walking distance is worth every penny and if you go, ask for a drink they make there called Horchate (rice milkshake but not frozen). These are not high-end rentals but they come very close and provide all kitchen appliances and watersport rentals you will need. If you are looking for a higher-end rental, the owner of the homes just released their own home for rental which is 3 properties to the south and after a quick tour of it, I was awed, absolutely incredible. If I were to be in that area again, I would call them first to see if it was available before calling anyone else. Thanks to the staff for being professional and accomidating to such a large group's needs. The advice you provided on all things was extremely helpful as well. Mahalo!

15 August 2012 15:14 | I stayed in: Ehukai Hale “Sea Spray House”
My Wife Courtney and I booked the Ehukai Hale for the last 3 nights of our honeymoon and we very impressed with the Hale Ko'olau as it was a perfect oasis to relax after staying in big hotels. Otilani greeted us when we arrived and was super welcoming and friendly making us feel right at home and Jeff was *** with giving us all the local tips for travelling the island and making sure we got the most out of our trip!! Everything exceeded our expectations and have already recommended it to friends and we will definetly be back!!! Mahalo from Vancouver

Dahlquist Family,
Me and fiancé were lucky enough to get married at one of the homes on the hale koolau property in May of 2012. Our stay along with the guests was one of the best times of our lives! The wedding was perfect and so was the weather! The service was outstanding and Zack and others will always be a great part of our memories and stay. I have never stayed any were more beautiful and accommodating and will be visiting again. We were so touched by our journey that I, my husband, and some guests are already discussing our next trip to the islands. I wanted to experience real Hawaii and that is exactly what I got from this location. I will be returning and look forward to my next adventure!!!! Mahalo!!
