My husband and I stayed here from 10/10/12 to 10/17/12. We loved getting up every morning and having coffee sitting by the water. The view is spectacular and sunrise is gorgeous and different every day. The space was just the right size for 2. It was quiet and private. It's far enough from the city to make it feel like you're in another world. The mac nut pancakes at Papa Ole's were out of this world. The best we've had on 4of the islands. We ordered from Dominoes one night and they were so great about having a difficult time finding our cottage. Dinner at the Crouching Lion was good and the patio and it's view were so calming and peaceful. I highly recommend Ehukai Hale. The only two things I recommend the owners fix is to have common condiments in the cottage--there's not even any salt and pepper. The other problem we had was getting a clear picture on some of the channels of the TV. It seemed to be a cable problem. We certainly didn't go to Hawaii to watch the TV but because of the Presidential debates and wanting to keep up a bit with the race, we did watch some TV. And of course, we had to watch Hawaii 5-0 while we in Hawaii.

We thank these guests for their warm compliments. On a side note, the cable problem was repaired for our future guests to enjoy. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any open food containers in our homes due to liability reasons.
Mahalo nui loa and we look forward to your return!

Aloha
I just wanted to say mahalo nui loa for such a lovely vacation. I will definitely recommend you and plan to visit again soon. Thank you again. The rental is terrific and everyone very nice. Ehu Kai was perfect. I throughly enjoyed my stay.
A group of 8 of us rented the 5-bedroom, 2-story house at this property from 8/11/2012 - 8/18/2012 for 5 days of vacation and 2 days for a wedding at Turtle Bay. I must say for my first trip to Hawaii, this group of rental homes is exactly where you want to stay if you want to be detached from any city living. The windward coast is beautiful and mainly un-touched by development. There is a local grocery store 1/8 mile away that has most of what you need and a higher end one about 5 miles to the north. The staff was extremely accomidating and most of all, knew how to just let you be without any interuption (even though they are on-site 6-8 hours of the day). Two things you need to know about this place before you book are 1) the beach is sandy, but 10 feet into the water it becomes rocky so bring wet-socks. 2) when we stayed there, the house (only this house) did not have A/C installed anywhere. Our party was OK with this being from South Florida but it may be something you should ask the staff before-hand when booking. Our neighbors which were with our party did have A/C. The location is really the best draw to this rental. Pipeline and the beginning of the Northshore -heading south- is 20 min away. Turtle Bay is 15 minutes away. The fish taco place within walking distance is worth every penny and if you go, ask for a drink they make there called Horchate (rice milkshake but not frozen). These are not high-end rentals but they come very close and provide all kitchen appliances and watersport rentals you will need. If you are looking for a higher-end rental, the owner of the homes just released their own home for rental which is 3 properties to the south and after a quick tour of it, I was awed, absolutely incredible. If I were to be in that area again, I would call them first to see if it was available before calling anyone else. Thanks to the staff for being professional and accomidating to such a large group's needs. The advice you provided on all things was extremely helpful as well. Mahalo! -The Haoles

My Wife Courtney and I booked the Ehukai Hale for the last 3 nights of our honeymoon and we very impressed with the Hale Ko'olau as it was a perfect oasis to relax after staying in big hotels. Otilani greeted us when we arrived and was super welcoming and friendly making us feel right at home and Jeff was *** with giving us all the local tips for travelling the island and making sure we got the most out of our trip!! Everything exceeded our expectations and have already recommended it to friends and we will definetly be back!!! Mahalo from Vancouver

Dahlquist Family,
Me and fiancé were lucky enough to get married at one of the homes on the hale koolau property in May of 2012. Our stay along with the guests was one of the best times of our lives! The wedding was perfect and so was the weather! The service was outstanding and Zack and others will always be a great part of our memories and stay. I have never stayed any were more beautiful and accommodating and will be visiting again. We were so touched by our journey that I, my husband, and some guests are already discussing our next trip to the islands. I wanted to experience real Hawaii and that is exactly what I got from this location. I will be returning and look forward to my next adventure!!!! Mahalo!!
